Traxxas Stampede 4x4 To Traxxas Slash 4x4 Conversion
let me start off by saying that the conversion once i had all the parts was a breeze took me 45mins total. i can say it does handle alot better not as top heavy. the wider chassis of the slash does make a difference. here is what i started with.
at this point you should know how to remove the front and rear modular diffs. 4 torx screws in the front and 4 torx screws, you will need to also remove the steering linkage torx screw also, 4 torx screws in the rear and it should pop apart. removing the electronics is pretty much straight forward locate each of the torx screws holding each part down n make sure that you keep those screws also. when you have it all apart you will notice that the front diff does not have splines you will need to remove the torx screw that holds the stampede center drive shaft on the front diff.
Parts List
1x Slash 4x4 chassis $20.00
1x Slash Body mount kit for the front only
1x body mount lift kit (longer screws)
1x Slash 4x4 Center Drive line
1x Slash front diff out put gear (part number 6888x)
1x Slash Body
Finished Product below i ended up cutting the slash's body for clearance. i plan to purchase another body also.

Vats Pass bypass 1989 Chevrolet Corvette
my friend recently bought this corvette, he didnt get the key with it. i ended up making all 15 key values for the vats pass security system, i 1st verified that the system was working, we did have to pull the cylinder lock for the ignition out of the steering column, once i had the 2 white wires off of the cylinder lock, i began hooking up resistors one right after another 1st i waited the 4mins exactly with that didn't work went thru all 15. i tested the voltage coming from the vats module it was fine. so i waited 6 minutes this time, to my frustration and amazement it was the 8th value i tired. the car hasnt been running in over 2 yrs. we put fresh gas n a new battery checked all the fluids before we even started it. we did find that it has a cold start issue also. it does need a full tune up n service on the transmission n engine oil n coolant. towards the end of the day we decided to drive the car home after making sure the brakes worked and it didnt overheat n the transmission was shifting correctly. here is a video i took of it running on the 1st fire up.n i used 1/2 watt resistors also from radio shack. here are the key values. the key value was 2370 ohms which i had the resistor value at 2330 ohms.
KEY CODE : OHMS 1- 402 ohms 2- 523 ohms 3- 681 ohms 4- 887 ohms 5- 1,130 ohms 6- 1,470 ohms 7- 1870 ohms 8- 2,370 ohms 9- 3,010 ohms 10- 3,740 ohms 11- 4,750 ohms 12- 6,040 ohms 13- 7,500 ohms 14- 9,530 ohms 15- 11,800 ohms

Mazda Protege Random Stalling and No start Fix
i have recently been working on a few Mazda Proteges ranging from 1990 to 1993 with the 1.8 ltr and the most common cause of the no start or stalling happens to be the coolant temp sensor, it tells the ECU what temp the engine is at the colder the engine is the richer the fuel and vise versa it will lean out if to hot. even if you dont have a check engine light on its worth the 15 to change the sensor to see
1990-1993 Mazda Protege Wiper Relay location
this pertains to the older protege on NON Cruise control cars, u can use a relay from a ford escort also. here are the videos
