1974 Ford Mustang II Rag Joint Repair
today we tackeled the rag joint repair i read on a few forums that u can use part number 31000 in the help at orielys or autozone as a replacement for the plastic joint it just required removing the one side of the steering rack it takes a 9/16 socket and wrench, what we did was to remove the steering column from the car which was alot easier, then removing the shoulder bolt from the joint. all in total the time was about 3hrs to remove and install.

Subaru Legacy lower Ball joint Removal and Install
recently i had to perform a brake job on my 1999 subaru legacy station wagon. i noticed a popping noise in the front driver side when turning left. so i started checking n i found the lower ball joint was pretty much destroyed. the local part store had one for 23.99. reading online i found the easiest way to remove and install the lower ball joint, get a mini 5 pound sledge hammer, a 14mm to 19mm sockets and wrenches, one you have removed the steering knuckle/hub smack the lower control arm. until the ball joint drops out of the knuckle assembly. it took me about 45 mins to remove n 30 to reinstall.
