1987 Ford Mustang GT Convertible 5.0 Instrument Cluster Upgrade

this idea i have had in my head for sometime it was to mod my mustangs dash to use mechanical gauges instead of the stock electric gauges, last year i bought the white face dash kit and installed that but i grew tired of only the speedo working and the tach n the oil pressure gauge that kinda worked. the old cluster was about to give up. so instead of buying another one costing me around 100 or so i decided to upgrade my cluster. well i went to my local part store and bought the 2in white face triple pack of gauges then i bought the matching fuel gauge also. i also bought a automotive electric kit that had an assortment of butt connectors and scotch blocks. it also had tape and wire strippers and a test light. the gauges and the kit cost me 100.00 altogether. this process to me roughly 2 days from start to finish i still have 2 minor things to complete but at this time the instrument cluster is installed. if you are thinking about performing this upgrade make sure to have the correct wiring diagram for your car or truck and have the knowledge to understand the diagram also.  only problem i ran into was i didnt hook up the signal wire to tell the voltage regulator to turn on and come to find out that was the light green with a red stripe wire in the dash wiring that had to have a resistor in place so that it can turn on the charging system, i used a blub as the resistor. here are the videos i hope you enjoy and get ideas
